What this rebuild is built from, what is missing, and what was substituted.
The company’s site is gone. restore-med.com now serves a parking page. Its last version was captured by the Internet Archive between 2013 and 2021; the home page, about, products, quality, team, contact and conference pages were recovered, together with the logo and a set of the company’s own photographs.
Every claim about the product, the validation work, the quality system and the team is quoted or condensed from those captures. No specification is invented.
Where it came from
- PagesHome, About, Products, Quality, Management Team, Contact and the IAHCSMM 2014 conference page — captured 2013–2021 and kept in _tools/archive/original-pages/.
- ImagesThe logo, three banner photographs (instruments, trays, green lid), the product render, the founders’ photograph, the press spread, the three triptych images and the “featured by” logos — all from the company’s own uploads.
- PaletteTaken from the company’s logo: green #78a518, teal #0f6b6b, blue #0078c0, on white. The site’s own stylesheet could not be retrieved from the archive, so the palette comes from the mark rather than the CSS.
- TypeHeadings in Barlow, body text in Inter, both self-hosted. The original used a rounded grotesque in the logo and system sans-serif for text.
What is missing
- The product photographs. The products page referenced a dozen images R1020403, rstra10 and so on; they were never archived. The tray render used here is the one image of the system that survives.
- The board and advisors pages. Both were linked from the site and neither was captured, so no board names appear.
- The careers page and the investors page. Captured only in fragments; no vacancies or investor details are reproduced.
- The BSI and MICRALOX logos. Referenced by the quality page but not archived.
- The site stylesheet. Every captured copy returned an error page, so the palette is derived from the logo.
- Four Vimeo films. The home page embedded Vimeo videos (IDs 120109832, 74665739, 74665740, 74665741). They are still reserved at Vimeo but return no title, thumbnail or playable file outside the company’s domain, so they are not embedded here.
The loop
The eight-second loop on the home page is not company footage. It is a slow pan generated for this rebuild from the company’s own photograph of instrument trays, encoded at 1280×640 and shipped inside the folder so it plays offline.
Deviations, stated plainly
- Seven pages instead of the original’s ten. The board, advisors, investors and careers pages had no recoverable content, so their subjects are noted rather than linked.
- The markup is new. The original was a RocketFuel site; this is static HTML, one stylesheet and one small script.
- Copy is quoted or condensed. The 90-degree claim, the ~99.999% bioburden reduction, the 60% time saving and the eight benefits are the company’s own statements.
- Nothing is requested from another server on load — fonts, images and the loop are local.
- No medical claim is made by this site. The validation figures are reported as the company reported them.
